## What is alueNX+?

Namaste, dear friend, and welcome to **alueNX+ V.3.0.0** — the SERIOS command shell layer for your computer, built on top of Bash (and also Zsh, but Bash is the main one, please). This is not hobby shell, no no. This is SERIOS shell. It has 30+ commands, a custom filesystem layer, root system, installer system, custom command definer, and a helper called `ral` which shows you everything in your folder like a tree with file contents. Very useful, very serios.

alueNX+ is not a real operating system in the kernel sense, please to be understanding. It is a `.bashrc` (and `.zshrc`) file which turns your boring terminal into a **SERIOS terminal** with logo, prompt, commands, `/bin` programs, and `ral` file explorer. But please to be noting: it feels like OS, it behaves like OS, and it boots instantly. So for practical purposes, it is OS. Please do not be arguing.

## Quick Start

Please to be doing the following, very simple:

1. Download `alueNX--plus--__v.3.0.0-.bashrc.zip.zip` (yes, the name is long, this is historical, please do not be asking)
2. Unzip it, please
3. Copy `.bashrc` to your home folder:
   ```bash
   cp .bashrc ~/.bashrc
   ```
4. If you use Zsh also (some people do, very strange people but okay), copy `.zshrc` to `~/.zshrc`
5. Open new terminal
6. You should be seeing the logo and prompt `~ @ `

Very good, no? Now you are in alueNX+, please to be enjoying.

## Requierments

Please to be having these things, otherwise it will not work and you will be sad:

- **Bash** (this is very common, no problem)
- **Nano** (for the `tex` editor — if you do not have nano, `tex` will fail and you will be sad)
- **Firefox** (for the `wb` command — if you do not have Firefox, `wb` will not work but nothing else will break, so it is okay)
- **Your computer** (very important, please do not forget this)
- **Sudo** (for `mp2` and `tmp_mp2` — if you do not have sudo, you cannot become root, this is normal)

Optional but recommended:

- **Zsh** (if you want to use `.zshrc` also)

## Command Reference (30+ commands, very serios)

Here is the full list, please to be reading carefully:

### File and directory commands

- `list [path]` — List directory contents (this is `ls` with colors, very nice)
- `tfs [path]` — Show directory tree (tree filesystem, very useful)
- `goto <path>` — Change current directory (this is real `cd`, not fake one)
- `lct` — Print working directory (location, very clear)
- `txt <file> <str>` — Write text to file
- `txt <file> >> <str>` — Append text to file (please to be noting the `>>`)
- `mk <dir>` — Make a directory (with `-p`, so nested is okay)
- `f <file>` — Create an empty file
- `r <file>` — Read a file to screen
- `tex <file>` — Edit a file in Nano (ESC, Ctrl+O, Enter, Ctrl+X — standard nano things)
- `del <path>` — Remove file or directory (recursive, so please to be careful, this is dangerous)
- `move <src>, <dst>` — Move file or directory (please to be using comma, this is the syntax)
- `copy <src>, <dst>` — Copy file or directory (recursive, also comma)

### Custom command system

- `define <name> "..."` — Define a custom command (very powerful, please to be using responsibly)
- `tmp define <name> "..."` — Define a temporary command (same thing, but named `tmp define` for some reason, this is historical)

### Root and privilege

- `mp2` — Become root (login shell, please to be careful, you can break things)
- `tmp_mp2 <cmd...>` — Run a single command as root (safer than `mp2`, please to be using this if you only need one command)

### Internet and text

- `wb <url>` — Open URL in Firefox (background, so terminal is not blocked, very nice)
- `text <text>` — Print text (same as echo, but shorter, very convenient)

### System and shell

- `help` — Show this help (you are reading it now, no?)
- `v` — Show version (V.3.0.0, very serios)
- `cd` — Clear the screen (this is historical, please do not be asking why, please to be using `goto` for changing directory)
- `e` — Exit the shell (this one actually works, unlike alueOS where `e` just hangs — you are welcome)
- `./<file>` — Execute a shell script (standard thing)
- `<program>` — Run a program from `/bin` (see below)

### Operators

- `&&&&` — Chain commands (this is historical, please do not be asking why it is four ampersands and not two)

### `ral` — the file explorer

`ral [path]` — Show everything in path, recursively, with file sizes and contents. Very useful for debugging, very useful for showing off to your friends. Please to be using it.

## `/bin` programs

These are programs which are in `/bin` (virtual bin, please to be understanding):

- `hw` — Print "Hello, World!" (very classic, very serios)
- `sysinfo` — Print system information (kernel name, release, machine — standard `uname -srm`)

Please to be noting: you can add more programs to `/bin` if you want, but this is not documented, please to be figuring it out yourself. Very serios challenge.

## Paths and home

- `~` is home, which is `/user/main` (this is historical, please do not be asking why it is not `/home/user`)
- `PS1='\w @ '` — Prompt shows working directory, then ` @ `, very clean, very serios
- In Zsh, `PS1` is `$PATH` or something, I do not know, but this is copyright also, you cannot change it, please to be understanding

## What changed in old versions (history, very serios)

Please to be reading this carefully. This is history. Historical things must never be changed, but you must know them, otherwise you will be confused.

### V.1.0.0 — the beginning

This is where it all started, very simple, very small:

- `c.d` — clear screen (6 bytes, very small, very efficient)
- `del` — remove file or directory (14 bytes, very dangerous)
- `get` — read a note from `$HOME/.dai/notes/$1` (42 bytes, very simple)
- `gnr/f` — make directory (10 bytes, very efficient)
- `mk/0` — touch file (10 bytes, very efficient)
- `save` — save a note to `$HOME/.dai/notes/$1` (69 bytes, very useful)
- `text` — print text (16 bytes, very simple)

Please to be noting: there was no logo, no help, no `ral`, no root system, no installer. It was just small commands, very raw, very serios beginning.

### V.1.2.2 — the expansion

This version added many things, very exciting:

- `c.d` — clear screen (still 6 bytes, still efficient)
- `del` — remove file or directory (still 14 bytes)
- `gnr/f` and `gnr_f` — make directory (both exist, this is historical redundancy, please do not be asking)
- `mk/0` and `mk_0` — touch file (again, both exist, historical)
- `help.dai/sys/0/user.chng/main` — help text for changing user to root (83 bytes, very useful)
- `inst/alueNC-english-V.1.0.0-zip` — installer for alueNC English V.1.0.0 (243 bytes, very serios)
- `inst/alueNC-english-V.1.1.3-zip` — installer for alueNC English V.1.1.3 (243 bytes, very serios)
- `inst/.files/` — contains the actual `.zip` files (binary, 6963B and 17867B)
- `inst/wsl.support/` — WSL support scripts (for Windows users, very nice of us)
- `location` — print working directory (3 bytes, very efficient)
- `sys/0/user.chng/main` — change user to root (9 bytes, very powerful)
- `text` — print text (still 16 bytes)
- `v/alueNX` — version file (21 bytes, prints "v.1.2.2")

This was a big expansion, very serios. It added installer system, help system, WSL support, and version tracking. Very good, no?

### V.2.0.0 — the refactor

This version cleaned things up, very serios:

- `c.d` — clear screen (6 bytes)
- `cdd` — clear screen (also 6 bytes, this is historical, please do not be asking why both exist)
- `del` — remove file or directory (14 bytes)
- `f` — make directory (10 bytes, but wait, this is `mkdir`, not `touch`, this is a naming bug, please do not be asking)
- `lct` — print working directory (3 bytes)
- `mk` — touch file (10 bytes, but wait, this is `touch`, not `mkdir`, this is the opposite of `f`, this is confusing, please do not be asking)
- `mp2` — become root (9 bytes)
- `text` — print text (16 bytes)
- `txt` — append text to file (13 bytes, uses `@1` and `@2` placeholders, very strange but very serios)
- `v` — print version "alueNX V.2.0.0" (28 bytes)

Please to be noting: `f` and `mk` are SWAPPED in this version. `f` makes directory, `mk` makes file. This is the OPPOSITE of V.3.0.0. This is historical. Please do not be asking why. Very serios.

### V.3.0.0 — the current version (you are here)

This is the BIG one, very serios, very exciting:

- **Full `.bashrc`** (4284 bytes) — complete shell layer with logo, prompt, 30+ commands, `ral` explorer, `/bin` programs
- **Full `.zshrc`** (4373 bytes) — same thing for Zsh users, with a note that `PS1` is maybe `$PATH` or something, I do not know, but it is copyright also
- **Logo** — the ASCII art logo is now in the shell, very beautiful
- **Help system** — `help` command with full command reference
- **`ral`** — recursive file explorer with sizes, types, and contents (NEW in V.3.0.0, very powerful)
- **Custom command definer** — `define` and `tmp define` (NEW, very powerful)
- **Root system** — `mp2` and `tmp_mp2` (NEW, very powerful, please to be careful)
- **Installer system** — removed in V.3.0.0 (was in V.1.2.2, this is historical, please do not be asking why it was removed)
- **`wb`** — open URL in Firefox (NEW, very convenient)
- **`&&&&`** — chain commands (NEW, historical, please do not be asking why four ampersands)
- **`/bin`** — virtual bin with `hw` and `sysinfo` (NEW, very serios)
- **`~` = `/user/main`** — home path is now `/user/main`, not `/home/user` (historical, please do not be asking why)
- **`f` and `mk`** — SWAPPED BACK to original meaning: `f` makes file, `mk` makes directory (this is the OPPOSITE of V.2.0.0, this is historical, please do not be asking why)
- **`cd` clears screen** — historical, please do not be asking why, please to be using `goto` for changing directory
- **`e` exits** — actually exits, unlike alueOS where it hangs, you are welcome
- **`v`** — prints "alueNX+ 3.0.0" (now with `+`, very serios)
- **Copyright** — now "All rights reserved" (capital R, very serios) but "reseved" in logo (historical typo, please do not be asking why)

Very big release, very serios. Please to be enjoying.

## Known issues (historical, please do not be asking why)

Please to be noting: some of these are historical. Historical things must never be changed. If you see something that looks like a bug but is old, it is not a bug. It is history.

- **`cd` clears the screen** — historical, please to be using `goto`
- **`f` and `mk` have been swapped multiple times** — V.1.x: `mk` was directory, V.2.0.0: `mk` was file, V.3.0.0: `mk` is directory again. Historical. Please do not be asking why.
- **`gnr/f` and `gnr_f` both exist in V.1.2.2** — historical redundancy, please do not be asking why
- **`mk/0` and `mk_0` both exist in V.1.2.2** — historical redundancy, please do not be asking why
- **`c.d` and `cdd` both exist in V.2.0.0** — historical redundancy, please do not be asking why
- **`txt` uses `@1` and `@2` placeholders in V.2.0.0** — very strange, historical, please do not be asking why
- **`help` says `tmp define` but the function is `tmp_define`** — historical, please do not be asking why
- **`help` says `ral` but there is no `ral` in the help text** — wait, there is no `ral` in help, but `ral` exists, this is a documentation bug, please to be fixing it yourself, very serios
- **`.zshrc` has note about `$PATH`** — I do not know if this is correct, but it is copyright also, you cannot change it, please to be understanding
- **`e` exits in V.3.0.0 but not in alueOS** — this is an improvement, you are welcome
- **`cd` is in `.bashrc` but `goto` is also there** — historical, please to be using `goto`
- **`help` mentions `&&&&` but I have not tested it** — historical, please to be testing it yourself
- **`v` says "alueNX+ 3.0.0" but file is `.bashrc`** — this is normal, the shell is the OS, please to be understanding

## Author's Note

Namaste, dear friend. Thank you for reading this document. You are very patient person, no? Please to be enjoying alueNX+.

This is SERIOS shell. It is not production-ready (some commands are very dangerous), not secure (it is a `.bashrc`, please to be understanding), not stable (historical commands, please do not be asking). It is, however, **mine**, and it works. If you find bugs — and you will — the error messages will at least make you laugh (`ral: ...: i dont found your shit!` is a classic, please to be enjoying).

**alueNX+** is the correct name. Not "alueNX". Please.

And please to be remembering: `cd` clears the screen, `goto` changes directory, `f` makes file, `mk` makes directory, `e` exits, `del` is dangerous, `mp2` is very dangerous. Historical things must never be changed. If you ask why, the answer is: because they are historical. That is all.

**Have fun. Don't run `del /` unless you mean it. And please to be careful with `mp2`, root is very powerful.**

**Thank you very much for reading. Please to be enjoying alueNX+. Namaste.**
